MEETING MINUTES
Meeting was called to order at 10:00 p.m. by guild president, Bethany Bletsch.
Appreciation was extended to the Christmas Party Committee, Nancy Tubb, Bethany Bletsch, Latrelle Locks, Angela McCorkle & Ruby Goodwin for planning and organizing the Christmas party this year.
Sunshine Report – Get well card was sent to Tricia Emery and a sympathy card was sent to Pat Karnes for the loss of her brother.
Meeting minutes from the November 17, 2008 meeting were previously emailed to the members for review. Doris Rice made the motion to accept the minutes as presented, Barbara Spinks second the motion, motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report for December was also previously emailed to members for review. Latrelle Locks made the motion to accept the report as presented, Pat Murph second the motion, motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS:
1.Quilt Show Report was presented by Angela McCorkle. Nothing new to report at this time. Still have not confirmed a person for the workshop, hope to have a final decision by January.
2.Bethany Bletsch reported on the status of the Wee Care project. Additional quilts are needed. Received several new ones today from Millie Schwab (1); Sherry Benbow (2 receiving blankets); Alice Young (1); Becky Martin (1); Latrelle Locks (1), Mildred Turner (2), Bethany Bletsch (2), Foncile Rolling (1) and Patsy Oehrlein (2).
3.Lynn Patrick reported that if you go to the Blank fabric online site and click on their survey, you will receive complementary quilting items for participating in their survey.
4.Several items have been received today for the ARK. These items will be taken to the ARK at the conclusion of the meeting.
5.Today is the last day to donate for Toys for Kids for this year. The contribution received today was $81.00. This combined with the donations throughout the year made a total contribution of $600.00 to this charity.
NEW BUSINESS:
1.No new business discussed
MONTHLY DRAWINGS:
No monthly drawings were held this month.
The meal was served, games and the Christmas gift exchange were conducted and
concluded the meeting.
