Old Business

Norma Bessent will present a report on local charities at the September meeting.

New Business

The program for September will be “Dress to the Nines” presented by Marcella League.  It is a program on nine patch blocks.  After the business meeting in September, there will be a Wee Care sew-in.  Members were asked to bring sewing machines and Wee Care projects.  Quilt kits and batting will be available to be used if you don’t have a current project.  Pizza and salad will be provided.

Guild yearbooks were e-mailed to all members and hardcopies were available for those who requested and paid the additional $1.00.

 Committee Reports

CPS – Nancy Tubb showed bags made by Cindy Hadley received after last month’s meeting and also some bags that were anonymously donated from Abilene.

Quilt Show - Angela McCorkle announced that vendor letters would be going out soon.  One of the favorite vendors, Pieces Keepers, has requested a booth.  There was discussion on purchasing aprons instead of T-shirts for members to wear at the show.  Angela will have job descriptions for sub-committee chairs in September.

Monthly Drawings

Block of the Month – Doris Rice demonstrated the “Gay Two-Patch Quilt” block to be returned in September.  The block should be made in fall colors and should measure 10 ½” unfinished.

Door prizes were won by Carol Casserilla and Nancy Tubb.
