Our December 2013 meeting was held at the home of Doniene Fullagar in Brady, Texas. We partied, ate good food, visited, played games and admired Doniene's unique ranch home.
Vice President Doris Rice shows the progress that has been made on the donation quilt for the
10th Annual 2014 Brownwood Quilt Show.
Show and tell this month started with Becky Martin's Southwest inspired "Row by Row".
Doris's Row by Row is chickens in the hole in the barn door.
Next Doris shows the Christmas quilt she made for her son William, who will be attending Missouri State University next fall. "Go Bears" !
Norma Bessent proudly shows her "finally" completed Christmas quilt.
Doniene shows her birthday quilt, appliqued and hand quilted by her daughter, from scraps of a quilt Doniene had made from her dad's wool shirts.
Sherri Marshall's Little Jo's project...
and the fall pillow she made in wool applique.
Marcella League (famous for her unique pin cushions) made Doniene a hostess gift,
and one for Vice President Doris Rice,
and one for President Joy Ivy.
Joy's show and tell is another of her commissioned t-shirt quilts.
After Joy presented table runners she made for each guild member, they presented her with a basket full of sewing related Christmas gifts.
Doniene gave Joy a Christmas plate. We all think her name fits her perfectly, she is a Joy !
Before the party broke up, we rolled the dice for fat quarters in the fun game, Left, Right, Center.
Guess who won ?
Yes, the one doing the happy dance !
Congratulations Angela !
