The program this month was given by Vickie Mazurek. She demonstrated straight-line machine quilting. She gave several pointers, including placing the needle-punch side up on Warm and Natural batting, using a 2.2 stitch length as a standard, using spray baste and then ironing the layers before beginning the quilting, and using the quilting seam guide along with the walking foot. She encouraged everyone who wanted to to practice this quilting technique on her machine.
