Guild Donation to Buckmasters

The above quilt was donated to Buckmasters.  This quilt top was among the things donated to the guild by Cleo Needler's family. Angela McCorkle added the borders and quilted it and donated it on behalf of the guild.  Buckmasters is an organization that raises money to give children, handicapped individuals and wounded warriors the opportunity to hunt. This quilt was auctioned for $575.00. 

Julia Keeter's Jacket Class in Throckmorton

Doris Rice, Bethany Bletsch, Jeanie Ortegon, and Joy Ivy enjoy lunch provided by Julia Keeter at her class in Throckmorton in June 2010. During the class, we learned how to make Julia's Bargello Jacket. Julia presented a program for the guild a few months ago and inspired us to want to make one of her jackets! Houston Quilt Show

Guild members Bethany Bletsch, Nancy Tubb, Benita Pipes and Sherri Marshall attended the Houston Quilt Show in October and met "Quilt in a Day" author and TV personality Eleanor Burns (center).

Day Retreat

On October 5, 2009, 8 members of the guild attended a day retreat at the Start of Texas Bed and Breakfast. We had a wonderful day of sewing, fellowship, and great food! Debbie Morelock was our gracious hostess. Members who attended include Tricia Emery, Lynn Patrick, Norma Bessent, Benita Pipes, Nancy Tubb, Pat Murph, Sherri Marshall, and Bethany Bletsch.

25th Birthday Celebration of the guild
